Alongside the certification, EVDirect has updated the Atto 3's standard specification list – which now includes heated front seats (as spotted by BYD owners on Facebook), for the previously-confirmed power seats trimmed in synthetic leather.

Electric powertrain
The Atto 3 gets a 60.48kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor producing 204PS and 310Nm. The electric SUV has an ARAI-claimed range of 521km and is front-wheel drive. The electric SUV can sprint from zero to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.

Passenger safety is ensured by up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages.
